(Lacey) -- River Ridge quarterback Colby Schultz threw three first-half touchdown passes, an offensive boost that lifted the Hawks over the Sequim High Wolves 34-0 Friday night at South Sound Stadium.
Schultz was 9-for-16 for 206 yards and three touchdowns. Stellar receiver Wesley Coates had six catches for 160 yards and two touchdowns.
Coates’ second score from 28-yards just before halftime put the Hawks (1-1) up 27-0 at intermission.
Chris Leiba had a 50-yard touchdown run in the third quarter as River Ridge increased the lead to 34-0.
The Hawks defense held Sequim to its second consecutive shutout loss.
The Wolves (0-2) open Olympic League play Friday at Bremerton.
