Sammamish boys drop Sequim 60-45

(Bellevue) -- Senior guard Noah Jackson came off the bench to score 22 points Tuesday night, leading the Sammamish Totems to a 60-45 non-league victory over the Sequim Wolves.
The 2A Kingco League Totems improved to 7-1 overall, their lone defeat to 3A Bellevue 70-47 on December 16th.
The Wolves dropped their 3rd straight, falling to 5-4 overall.
Sammamish led 18-11 at the first break after the lead changed hands 5 times early and the game was tied twice.
Sequim's Alex Barry had a team-high 16 points, with 8 in the first stanza.
Jackson entered the contest midway through the first quarter and tossed in 11 markers in each half.
Sammamish had a 29-23 advantage at intermission and 44-33 lead after three periods.
Vlad Yadevich had 10 tallies for the Totems and Michael Shinaul added 8, including a thunderous fourth period alley-oop slam dunk.
Bailey Earley paced Sequim with 13 points, 11 after halftime.
Sammamish visits Archbishop Murphy Friday, a 66-48 winner over Port Angeles Tuesday.
The Wolves travel to Belfair Tuesday for an Olympic League 2A Division tilt with the North Mason Bulldogs.
