Sequim boys blitz Port Townsend 78-31

(Sequim) -- A hounding Sequim High defense harassed Port Townsend early and often as the Wolves boys basketball team blitzed the Redhawks 78-31 Tuesday night at Rick Kaps Gym.
Coach Greg Glasser's troops used a variety of defenses to spring traps on a youthful Port Townsend squad as Sequim led 19-10 after one period.
A 17-0 run late in the second quarter put the hosts ahead by 25 at halftime - 46-21.
Reserves played the entire fourth period for Sequim after the Wolves were up 69-29 after 24 minutes.
Alex Barry led the way for Sequim with 21 points and Bailey Earley had 13.
Chris Adkins had team-high honors for the Redhawks with 16 and Jacob Ralls added 6 markers.
Port Townsend (0-4) travels to Chimacum Wednesday for their first Olympic League 1A Division contest.
Sequim (4-1) is on the road Wednesday at Kingston.
