Ingraham beats Sequim boys 66-60

(Seattle) -- The Ingraham Rams held on for a 66-60 non-league boys basketball win Monday night against the comeback minded Sequim High Wolves.
The Rams had a 49-36 lead with 7 minutes left before the Wolves roared back with a 22-9 run and tied the game at 58 with 1:45 left on a basket by Jackson Oliver.
Nate Geer put the Rams back in the lead with a pair of free throws, then Sequim forced an Ingraham turnover and had a chance for the go ahead basket inside the final minute, but the Rams defense held the rest of the way.
Ingraham polished the game off at the free throw line -- hitting 13-17 in the final quarter.
Reymond Horne had game-high scoring honors with 23 for Ingraham.
D'Olajuwon Swanks paced the Rams with 14 points and AJ Smith added 13 for the Rams, who improved their record to 2-8 overall.
Barry had a team-high 21 for Sequim, Vance Willis had 15 and Bailey Earley added 12 for the Wolves, who fell to 5-3 overall.
The Wolves missed the ball handling of senior guard Dustin Bates, who was hobbled by an ankle injury and did not play Monday.
Sequim plays Tuesday night at Sammamish in another non-league affair slated for a 5:30 tipoff.
